SmallRig 6505 Camera Cage for Sigma FP2

Overview

The SmallRig 6505 Camera Cage for Sigma FP2 is a protective cage for the Sigma FP2 that adds a built-in wooden grip, a long list of mounting points and a bottom plate that goes straight onto tripods and gimbals. It improves handling during long shoots while keeping the camera's buttons, ports and original accessories within easy reach.

Precise cutouts keep controls and ports accessible, a modular cold shoe mount carries a microphone or light, and an included HDMI cable clamp protects the port from loose-cable interruptions. It is a good foundation for building out the FP2 into a full video rig.

Three-Point Locking

The cage secures the camera at three points: a 1/4"-20 screw and a locating pin on the bottom, plus a 1/4"-20 screw on the right side. This resists twisting and keeps the cage firmly in place during handheld work. An integrated magnetic wrench in the base makes installation and removal quick.

Mounting Points

• H21 NATO rail on top, with a modular cold shoe mount beside it
• 1/4"-20 threaded holes and 1/4"-20 locating holes on the left and grip sides, plus a 3/8"-16 threaded hole on the grip side
• 1/4"-20 threaded holes on the bottom, with a QD socket and the magnetic wrench
• Strap slot on the grip side

• Works with a magic arm, monitor mount, top handle and QD shoulder strap

Cold Shoe Mount

A modular cold shoe mount attaches accessories such as a DJI Mic 2 or an LED light. When the cold shoe mount is removed, the cage still works with the original electronic viewfinder.

Arca-Type Plate

The built-in H38 Arca-type quick release plate on the bottom mounts directly in compatible Arca-type tripod clamps and on the DJI RS gimbals listed below, so you can move between a tripod and a gimbal without changing plates.
