Overview

The BLAZAR Talon 75mm T2.1 1.5x Anamorphic AF Lens (Sony E) is the longest lens in BLAZAR's Talon family, an autofocus anamorphic prime for full-frame Sony E cameras with a 1.5x squeeze and a T2.1 to T22 aperture. At 689 g it stays compact enough for run-and-gun shooting, gimbals and other fast-paced work.

A focus-by-wire design moves smoothly between autofocus and manual focus, and real-time tracking with eye detection keeps subjects sharp. The 1.5x squeeze gives the richer look of a 1.8x anamorphic image, with oval bokeh and subtle, natural flares that add mood without overpowering the scene.

The 1.5x squeeze suits a range of sensor ratios, and BLAZAR's technology delivers the visual character of a 1.8x anamorphic image: more cinematic depth, compression and beautiful oval bokeh. Full 36 x 24mm sensor coverage keeps the performance consistent across the frame.

Subtle Natural Flares

Gentle, natural horizontal streaks of flare add a touch of cinematic elegance to a scene, enhancing the mood without taking over the image. The flare colour is neutral, matching the colour temperature of the light source rather than a dedicated blue or silver streak. That makes the lens a good match for more refined storytelling where you want anamorphic character, but in a restrained way.
